Subject: CoDA: Searching For Professional Literature Editor
Date: May 4th 2022

Dear Fellowship.

The CoDA Board is in search of a Developmental Editor to assist our CoDA Literature Committee (CLC) in the development/editing of a new book, entitled Growing Up in CoDA: Becoming Emotionally Mature.

The content of the book includes nine chapters, exercises, and member stories.

Growing Up in CoDA expands the inner child and reparenting information that was included in our basic text, Co-Dependents Anonymous.

The new book is meant to describe how the disease of codependency developed because of our adaptation to poor parenting and childhood trauma. The benefit of this book to the still suffering codependent is to help them identify unmet childhood needs and to show the strength, hope, and healing that is available when we work the CoDA recovery program.

Here are the thus far identified qualifications that we are looking for in a Developmental Editor:

1) Professional experience as a book editor

2) Preferably an existing CoDA member with thorough knowledge of our literature, and experience working The Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Co-Dependents Anonymous.

This Developmental Editor will be hired as a Fellowship Service Worker (FSW). (AKA Independent contractor) and will be paid on an hourly basis.

If you or anyone you know of may be interested, please email

In service,

Gail S

CoDA Board Chair
