Problems at a meeting? What do we do?
Many of us have experienced problems at a meeting but we don't always know what to do. Often we find discomfort in using our voice and need some guidance from the Experience, Strength and Hope of the Fellowship.
Some problems many of us have experienced are, but not limited to:
- 13th Stepping (romantic or dominating sponsors)
- Prayers read not always being CoDA endorsed prayers
- One person monopolizing the lead/host/chair role and not rotating or opening the position for others to hold a business meeting.
- Financial Transparency (how much have we received in donations? how is it spent?) "I'm uncomfortable/confused on how finances are used for meeting."
- Dealing with distracting behavior at meetings
- Dealing with personal disagreements
We invite you to let your voice be heard!
As part of our inverted pyramid, CoDA Members are the source of the wisdom that is within CoDA to develop a true group conscience. It all starts with taking the initiative to express your concerns. We encourage YOU share your Experience, Strength and Hope with the rest of the fellowship. We want to know what YOUR thoughts are!
Please get involved! Write to us at comm@coda.org - help us help you make the most of your CoDA experience.

This mailing list is announce-only.
The purpose of this list is to share information with any & all CoDA members, especially that which may effect CoDA as a whole.

Per the 2nd tradition, For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority, a loving higher power as expressed to our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern. Developing a group conscience requires an informed fellowship, & to be effective trusted servants those you've elected must know the group conscience of the fellowship.
Per the 11th & 12th Traditions this list is private & anonymous.
