To our CoDA Fellowship -
We are getting excited about our upcoming CoDA Service Conference (CSC) which is being held both virtually via the internet and in person in Houston, Texas. Here’s some information we believe may be helpful to you, and your respective meetings, in preparation for our upcoming conference.
CoDA Service Conference (CSC) - Business Meeting
· Sunday, July 23, 2023: Mandatory Delegate Orientation
· Monday July 24, 2023 - Thursday, July 27, 2023: Business Meeting
Who can attend?
Everyone may attend the CSC and registration is required for all. Trusted Servants attend in several different roles. If you have not already done so, please go to CSC 2023 Eventbrite Registration for all pertinent information and to complete your registration.
North American (including US, Mexico, and Canada) and International Delegate Grants:
Is your Voting Entity (VE) or Intergroup interested in learning about CoDA’s North American and International Delegate Grant program? The intent of the grant is to help cover conference eligible expenses for your elected Delegate to attend CSC 2023 in person. We are happy to share the guidelines from our FSM and determine whether your VE or Intergroup is eligible to participate in this program. Please email the Voting Entity Liaison (VEL) at imcvel@coda.org for additional information.
Hotel Reservations:
A dedicated website is available for you to book hotel rooms online: The Royal Sonesta Passkey for CSC 2023
· Please note the last day to make reservations is July 7, 2023.
· When possible, carpooling is encouraged, as the hotel charges a fee to park.
Roommate Assistance Needed?
If you need assistance in finding a roommate - please send an email to: Events@coda.org and indicate “ROOMMATE ASSISTANCE NEEDED” in the email subject line.
Interpretation Needed?
The Conference will be presented in English. If you are interested in attending and need interpretation support, please indicate what language is needed when prompted at registration. We will make best efforts to meet requests. In addition, you may contact imcvel@coda.org .
Voting Entity Motions:
Again, this year, a VE or Intergroup will be able to submit a Voting Entity Motion (VEM) in the same manner as the Board, CoRe Board, and CoDA’s Standing Committees. Is there anything your meeting, VE or Intergroup would like to see changed? Now’s your chance? Please be aware that VEMs are due on the same date that all other motions are due which is 75 days prior to the start of conference. For CSC 2023, this date is May 10, 2023, by 11:59 PM PDT. You may download the blank motion form here: https://coda.org/wp-content/uploads/Motion_Form_2023.docx Please send completed motions to: submitcsc@coda.org
If you have additional questions, please write imcvel@coda.org. Kindly use “CSC 2023” in the subject line of your email.

Per the 2nd tradition, For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority, a loving higher power as expressed to our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern. Developing a group conscience requires an informed fellowship, & to be effective trusted servants those you've elected must know the group conscience of the fellowship.
