Acknowledging that we are all here for our personal recovery, the mission of the CoDA Board of Trustees is to ensure the longevity and fiscal health of the organization, to support the Fellowship’s ongoing service work, to promote CoDA unity and to reach the still suffering codependents.
OPENING (8:00 am – 8:05 am – 5 min)
Serenity Prayer - God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Read Step Six –Made a decision to turn our will and lives over to the care of God as we understood God.
Read Tradition Six – The only requirement for membership in CoDA is a desire for healthy and loving relationships.
Read CoDA Service Concept Six – Decisions about service work in the Fellowship and all CoDA affairs are made through the group conscience decision making process. For this spiritual democratic process to work, every member of the group is encouraged to participate, consider all the facts and options concerning the issue, listen respectfully to all opinions expressed, then reflect and meditate to find a loving Higher Power's will. Finally, we deliberate honestly and respectfully to determine the proper course of action. Unanimity in the group is the desired outcome; a majority vote is a group conscience.
Promise Six – I know a new freedom.
Read from In This Moment – Feelings don’t require action. I have learned in CoDA that my feelings are mostly based on early experiences, not on the present. They are important to acknowledge and reflect on, but not to act on, until I identify the source. Too often, I have acted hastily after being triggered by an issue from my family of origin. Feelings have no brains! I use my intellect in the present to choose an action. I breathe and wait. I find I have fewer regrets.
Order of round robin – Barbara, Don, Faith, Gail, Joe, Matt, Yaniv, Nancy
Welcome Visitors if any in attendance
Are we okay with recording for the Secretary’s use in preparing the Minutes?
