MAKING IT A CODA MEETING

This Announcement is offered because there has been some discussion within the CoDA Fellowship about the use of the shorter version of the Welcome at CoDA meetings.

Since before our electronic records begin, CoDA has required the four foundation documents to be read at every meeting, the Steps, the Traditions, the Preamble and the Welcome. The CoDA Service Conference in 2009, approved a shorter version of the Welcome as fulfilling that part of the requirement.

We hope this Announcement assures meetings that are using the short version of the Welcome that they are fulfilling their requirements for it to be a genuine CoDA meeting.

Respectfully submitted,

CoDA Service Structure Committee

Developing a group conscience requires an informed fellowship, & to be effective trusted servants those you've elected must know the group conscience of the fellowship.
