Summary CoDA World Board Conference Call

  • Visitors: Conni, from Association Management Company (SOS)
  • Meeting called to order at 5:15 PM by Mary I.
  • Round Robin stablished -Mary, Gerry, Addie, Lorraine, Madeline, Anita, Jen–
  1. Items for consent agenda
  • August’s minutes.
  • Motions (listed below)
  1. Reimbursement to the Chair of Outreach Committee for Service Item expenses.
  2. Use of professional translators at CSC.
  3. Rescind July 13, 2017 Translation Management Motion.
  4. Approval of standardized letter of invitation for international delegates; Secretary may send it without waiting for Board approval.
  • Treasurer Report. Bank Balances: Chase Checking $146,384.26, Savings $60,088.97 – Bank of Arizona - $160,444.72
  • Consent agenda approved by all.
  1. Secretary Report
  • Secretary updated items from the action list.
  1. Items for discussion:
  • Returning Board members visiting Chase for signatures. Majority agreed this should be made a policy. Action Item: Conni to talk to Chase for possible use of electronic signatures
  • Request for revisions. Discussions: Revisions and folder placement, answering the request. Action Item: Addie will followup.
  • Translations at CSC. Contract ready for electronic signature.
  • Website Update Gerry/ Jen/Lorraine. Will meet with another Web developer next Monday at 2:00 PM Pacific, and present recommendations to the Board
  • Legal: Mary/ Madeline. Copyrighting raising Sun Logo- All in favor of leaving it as it.
  • CoRE 2x2 update: Lorraine/Addie. Royalty schedule. Have a large order? Let CoRE know ahead of CSC, specially coins. Action Item: Lorraine to seek clarification of schedule
  • TMC (Translation Management Committee) Gerry/Madeline Progress report UK, Iran and Canada translation request/contracts. Translation Flow Chart is finished, TMC to work on Publication and Distribution Flow Chart during their upcoming F2F. Will try to hold 2x2 while in Minneapolis.
  • Fellowship Forum: Jen/Madeline. – Felt forums are helpful. English schedule Sept 23 at 9:00 AM Pacific. Hispanic Forum Sept 17 at 9:00 AM Pacific. Several requests for invitations.

 

  1. Old Business: Discussions – Board presentation during CSC, “Changing of the Guard” updated. CSC in Canada for 2020.
  2. New Business: Streaming at CSC. Discussion. Registration or link at the site.
  • Lorraine motioned to extend meeting 15 more minutes, Addie seconded. All approved. Discussions: Safety concerns.

Next meeting – Workgroup Sept 28, 2017. F2F Oct 6-8, 2017
