I’VE GOT CODA!
I see the beauty in the world
‘round and ‘round as I twirl
faster & faster until I fall
fascinated by it all
but where am I now?
Sad, lonely, and confused
wondering to myself, "What shall I do?"
And then appears a road before me
to guide me ahead
"To a CoDA meeting"
It had read.
In the room so calm and quiet
I found peace and knew by it
for there were people good and true
who understood what I’ve been through.
Accepting me as I am
sharing experiences they all have had.
Allowing me to grow and learn
and it’s knowledge I have earned.
To know myself a little more
to trust in God again and what he has in store.
As I grow to learn
acceptance of me
through the steps I flow
sometimes fast, sometimes slow
who will ever know what I’ll become
but I will be glad to know
that I always have a place to go
here in CoDA!
In CoDA, I will see
that there will be a better me!
