A Sharing Sampler
A Place To Write
Thanks, God... for a place to write...share... maybe
heal.
I get better when I write...share... tell my stories...
risk intimacy... let go of the secrets.
It gets easier to walk the steps...follow the
traditions...work with sponsors... even accept the
consequences... those awesome promises.
And I'm enjoying this journey...thanks for the lessons
and memories.

In Color
Can we stay in this place
Where Honesty opens
The dark places inside?>
Can we live this life
In Open Candor
To let pain be
and heal its wounds
Can we share
All the colors
Of our Feelings
and let our thoughts fall where they may?
Can we take Courage
To hold our less than moments
And be More alone and together

Relationships...
When it comes to relationships, I have been guilty of
continuing to do the same thing the same way, and expecting
different results. On many occasions this has resulted in
sadness for me and/or others.
Fortunately for me, CoDA and
the "12 Steps" have become part of my life. As a result, I have
learned to listen to myself, and become aware of my part in
relationships, situations and behaviors that are potentially
destructive. Further, by listening to and sharing with others at
CoDA meetings, I have gained
new insights and learned about new options that enable me to
make more appropriate responses to "life's little surprises."
With the help of my Higher Power, I have learned that I can
trust myself to make necessary changes that lead to healthier
relationships.
Before CoDA, I felt as if the
joy of life and friends were being sucked out of me, leaving me
empty inside. I am truly grateful for CoDA,
and its part in helping me to enjoy both my life and the
relationships I am developing.

Letting Go
Instead of hanging on thinking your life depends on it,
it's time to let go BECAUSE your life depends on it.
