You Are Feeling So Much Better. Now What? (Suggestion at end.)

CoDA is working for you but how to keep this and make it grow, so life continues to be better and better? Those who invented our program had that figured out too, and only now is the larger world catching up with them. For New Year’s Day it was reported that those who focused on gratitude, compassion, and acting in ways they could be proud of were much more able to keep the resolutions they made on that day.

That is what the Twelfth Step is all about. Our program awakens us to live in a spiritual way but, unless followed by action, that is no more than fleeting thoughts and empty words. Indeed, the fastest recovery is by starting that action early.

Our program has a place for that which is called service. It is doing what has to be done so meetings happen and the message is carried to others as it was to us. It is compassion for those others. It is working at being the kind of person described in the Twelve Promises.

Just now, CoDA has a great need for that service. Specifically, there are now only two people who are answering emails sent to World Service. And likewise, there are only two speaking by phone to people who call us hoping to speak to a CoDA volunteer. These are forms of service you can do at home, anytime, no dress-up required. Contact us if that might suit you, but also to check out the many other ways you can grow your recovery through service in CoDA

And here is immediate service work. Click on the link here or here to print an announcement you can pass out or post at your meeting.
