The contents of this email are from the CoDa Board Of Trustees,

The Board of Trustees is looking for three more volunteers to start off a workgroup whose purpose will be to evaluate the current structure of World Service and make recommendations. If you are interested in being part of the group, please send an email to

Not sure what a workgroup is?  Here is the definition of this workgroup:

Work groups are created to encourage greater involvement in the decision-making process. We do this by inviting three or more people to participate in deliberations, for a specific amount of time, concerning a specific issue. In the past, work groups have been used for:

1.     Work within a committee for a specific task (e.g., Outreach, to create two service pamphlets)

2.     Board work groups, such as the legal and website work groups

The board is presently seeking a minimum of eight people to consider CoDA's world service structure (i.e., standing committees and the board) over a period of nine months. Participants may include individuals who have experience and/or passion regarding the issue, as well as standing committee members (other than committee chairs) and trustees.

Although in some cases work groups may be ongoing, they generally exist for a limited time, with rotation of membership. Work groups create no binding motions or minutes, although notes are taken. As elsewhere in CoDA, the group conscience process is the basis of deliberation.
