Friday Fellowship Item #7: QSR: A Window on CoDA World Service

Written by a CoDA member, CoDA content approved by Communications Committee

Recently out is the Quarterly Service Report (QSR) for the first three months of 2017. CoDA really believes in transparency! 34 pages of transparency, including all the financial information anyone would want from our Corporation, Co-Dependents Anonymous, Inc. as well as our publishing arm, CoDA Resource Publishing, Inc. (CoRe). It can be accessed here and you can subscribe to future editions here.

Each committee or other operating group reports on the activities of the quarter, the board this time on struggles getting the website back up after it crashed, the Finance Committee on refining the forms we use to prudently manage CoDA funds, the Outreach Committee on the color brochure for professionals being developed in cooperation with Minneapolis CoDA, and much more.

The CoNNections Committee reports a lot going on. Meetings in Print is just what it says, a minimally complete CoDA meeting in printed (on screen) form, beginning with the four required foundation documents, following by shares of stories, diagrams, poems and reflections, and closing with an affirmation, the Serenity Prayer in many colored fonts, plus more.

CoNNections has long provided stories of recovery that are now presented weekly as here. Past submissions are archived both by year of publishing and by theme, such as Lessons Learned, Affirmations, or Recovery Tips and Techniques. And they are discussing publishing collections of them in book form.

CoNNections does not require stories to be so well polished they are immediately ready to publish. As does the Literature Committee in regard to much longer stories, CoNNections provides one on one support and editing to help the author say what the author really wants to say. As a matter of fact, we will do the same for anyone wishing to provide a report on CoDA activities for these Friday Fellowship Items.

This is just some of what is happening to carry the message of CoDA to the still-suffering world. We will continue reporting on that each week in this space.
