Board Summary for CoDA World Board Conference Call April 15 9am-11am PST
Hello Fellowship,
We opened up our monthly con call with the Serenity Prayer. Our order was established for Round Robin. Those in attendance were Lisa, Evie, Jutta, Barbara, Dagmar and Julie. Mercedes and Florence joined us at 10:30 am for our Executive Session.
The Treasurers report was reviewed and we approved the March minutes.
We ratified motions that were approved via email in the past month. We accepted an offer of one year upgrades for Dada mail for $50. We agreed that the Treasurer would approve all payroll for contract workers with copies sent to each contract worker's (Fellowship Services Worker) board liaison. In light of the resignation of our Board of Trustee, Geraldine, we reassigned her committee liaison assignments. Lisa and Julie will take over TMC. Evie will take Issues and Mediation Committee ( IMC) from Dagmar and Dagmar will take on the Literature committee. Hospitals and Institutions will remain with Julie B. as she was co-liaison with Geraldine.
We are preparing for the CoDA Service Conference (CSC) and reviewed the new draft By Laws which will be submitted to the board secretary at least 75 days in advance of the start of CSC as required. We have distributed the draft Bylaws to the Chairs of the Committees for input. We will have another motion for a change in the QSR (Quarterly Service Report) submission procedure in the Fellowship Services Manual (FSM). We are still writing our policies and procedures, some of which may need to be presented for approval as motions. We have asked Joan to be a note taker for us at CSC. We are waiting on her response. Committees have been asked to send in the time they will need to present their reports, including how many motions they have. We also want to make time for Voting Entities (VEs) to report. We will work with Events to develop the best agenda for everyone.
We discussed the Expense Reimbursement Policy and Procedure (formerly called the Travel Policy) that Finance has distributed to the Chairs of the committees and the Board for review. Several board members were involved in their development.
Lisa and Barbara are working with Events to assure that we get an accurate list of delegates from this CSC. We are hopeful that Event Brite will make this easier.
For a future item, we want to review the contact lists on the CoDA website with the goal of streamlining and improving these lists. We encourage delegates to be added to these contact lists. Some current committees have lists which we need to include in this.
Julie and Lisa are updating the list of the 2011 VE issue and responses. These will be included in the board report at CSC.
We have made the decision that we are not willing to pay any additional money for the codaworldfellowship.org website and have been informed by Dave F that it will be taken down on May 11, 2012. At some point we hope to obtain the domain name.
We have drafted a new home page for a possible new website. The Board will review and present at CSC.

The purpose of this list is to share information with any & all CoDA members, especially that which may effect CoDA as a whole.
We will be sending out regular emails with CoDA events, announcements, issues & CoDA business of interest to both specific regions & to the entire CoDA fellowship.
Per the 2nd tradition, For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority, a loving higher power as expressed to our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern. Developing a group conscience requires an informed fellowship, & to be effective trusted servants those you've elected must know the group conscience of the fellowship.
